Pre-Opening Restaurant Cleaning at Pho, Bournemouth
An after-builders and final sparkle-cleaning project completed around the construction team before a new Pho restaurant opened in Bournemouth town centre.
The Pho project record is valuable because it captures a familiar opening-stage problem: cleaning could not happen in isolation from the fit-out. The team worked around ongoing construction activity and then completed the final sparkle clean so the finished restaurant could move into its opening phase.
If you have a shopfitting programme, practical-completion date, restaurant photographs or room list, send them with the enquiry. Opening cleaning is easier to control when the final-clean window is agreed with the fit-out programme.

Cleaning formed part of the restaurant-opening programme.
The surviving page records two stages: an after-builders clean while construction activity was still taking place, followed by a final sparkle clean before opening.
New restaurant opening
The project related to the opening of a new Pho restaurant in Bournemouth town centre.
Active fit-out environment
The project record states that cleaners worked around the construction crew during the builders-clean phase.
After-builders clean
Construction and shopfitting residue needed to be removed as the restaurant moved towards completion.
Final sparkle clean
A later detailed clean brought the finished restaurant to its final pre-opening presentation stage.

The clean had to follow the build without being undone by it.
Opening projects often fail at the interfaces between trades. If cleaners arrive too early, later snagging or installation work can re-contaminate finished areas. If they arrive too late, staff training, stock loading or opening can be put under pressure.
Builders-clean stage
The archive records cleaners working alongside the construction team while the fit-out was still being completed.
Final sparkle stage
The later clean focused on the finished restaurant presentation before the opening phase.
Customer-facing finish
The project photography shows the completed dining environment, where presentation quality is immediately visible to the operator and customer.
Specialist work kept separate
The surviving Pho record supports builders and sparkle cleaning. It should not be used to imply internal TR19® extraction work unless separate specialist evidence exists.
The cleaning contractor had to work inside somebody else’s programme.
Builders, shopfitters, commissioning teams, deliveries and operator staff can all be active around a restaurant opening. The cleaning scope therefore needs a clear sequence and a realistic point at which the project is sufficiently complete for final presentation cleaning.
The images show the customer-facing standard the project was working towards.

Final presentation
Dining-room handover
The interior photograph illustrates the presentation standard expected immediately before opening to customers.
Sequencing was the commercial risk.
Pho is useful because it shows the two-stage cleaning pattern that often appears during new restaurant openings: builders clean first, final sparkle later.
For project teams, that sequence is more reliable than expecting one attendance to cope with unfinished construction activity and still deliver the final presentation standard.

EC Cleaners Network can help organise the commercial cleaning requirement, separate general handover cleaning from specialist work and approach potentially appropriate independent contractor capability.
This case study is based on the surviving EC Cleaners project record and photographs. It records an after-builders clean and final sparkle clean for a new Pho restaurant in Bournemouth, including work around the construction team before opening. The surviving record does not establish that internal kitchen-extract ductwork or TR19® work was undertaken, so those workstreams are not claimed here. EC Cleaners Network is operated by Search and Submit Ltd. Search and Submit Ltd does not itself undertake cleaning, technical inspection or certification. Independent appointed contractors remain responsible for site assessment, safe working, physical delivery and reporting within their appointed scope.
